Well school is out again. Just returned from Gregg's wedding in Italy and that was fantastic. A long day spent eating fabulous food, great company with good Italian wine to savour. I wish him well. E-mail me your queries.
My latest endeavour is selling wood which is imported. I am selling
lovely Kameeldoring Boom wood from Namibia.
It is already chopped into regular braai size, with 1 or 2 thicker pieces, but mostly all in 25/30cm pieces. So far I have signed up 4 SA Stores on foirst sight of the wood and offers, so if you are a prospective buyer, do not waste time getting in the action. You know that when someone comes into the shop for one thing, they often buy a load more! The wood is sold in 5kg bags (apply for cost). Wood supplied in a clear plastic bag with a label detailing the qualities of wood. It burns for a long time, providing excellent heat and coals that outlast charcoal making it a more efficient and cost effective method for braaing. Kameeldoring has a moisture content of less than 1%. In comparison, hard woods sold in the UK such as Ash, Oak and Birch have a 15% to 20% moisture content. Less moisture, less smoke, less hassle, more heat, better coals.
Kameeldoring boom gives off a pleasant aroma and you won't end up with blackened charcoal fingers!

I also have bags of grapevine wood for sale
and these are old vines, so quite rare, as most vineyards only trim their vines in summer. This is extremely dry and will make fantastic coals. They are around 4/5cm in diameter and 25 to 30cm in length. Stocks are limited. Minimum orders of 10 bags. Dec 2010
Wow, what a fantastic ski trip. We left after work on the 17th December to arrive early afternoon in the lovely resort of Coutmayeur, Italy. The journey was a bit delayed due to bad weather, late arrivals at Dover and a missed sailing which in turn meant we had to stop and wait for relief drivers to meet us in France, before continuing through the Mont Blanc tunnel. The tunnel itself was built over 8 years, starting in 1957 and is 11 kilometres in length! It was snowing heavily and the fresh stuff was just piling up. Read more here ..>

Okay so my bike trip to the South of France and Spain went well. No accidents, minor or major and a great experience. Some bumb weather here and there but mainly good. Some good surfing but the swell was a bit small until the day before so a bit hit and miss really. Anyhow, I have written it up and it can be found here..> In the meantime have a look at the ski trip I have planned for December 2010 here. For those looking for the previous trips, see the 2009/10 ski trip to Flaine.
